Combat story submission guidelines

Welcome to Combat Story, where your experiences in the face of adversity can inspire, teach, and connect us all. If you have a tale of resilience, skill, and courage, we invite you to share it with our community.

Before you submit, please take a moment to review our guidelines: Submit Online

You can send your story directly to our editorial team using the online form.

Text Story Word Limit: Submissions must be no more than 1,000 words. Keep your storytelling concise and engaging.

Age Requirement: Contributors must be over 18 years old.

Authenticity: Your story must be true and your own. We seek genuine accounts of personal experiences.

Ownership: You must own the rights to your story and any photos you submit. By submitting, you are confirming that the material is original and not copied from another source.

Scope of Stories: We welcome a wide range of combat-related stories. Whether your experience was in the military, law enforcement, an MMA fight, a street altercation, a survival scenario against the odds, or a defensive situation involving concealed carry, we want to hear about it. Stories that highlight the limits tested by you, your team, or your unit are particularly encouraged.

Note on Photos: While photos are not required, if you do send photos you are confirming that you own the rights to whatever photo or photos you submit.
